The history of Twinings
The tea shop of Thomas Twinings is still on the London Stand and the 10th generation of Twinings are still active in the tea business. The ownership might be in hands of Associated British Foods but the tea is rich with class and flavor. It’s logo is the the worlds oldest logo that is used consequently since 1787, that is over 300 year!
In 1837 Queen Victoria gave Twinings the royal warrant for tea, making it the supplier for her household. A tradition that still is in use of the Royal family today.
In 1956 the company introduced the now famous tea bag. But it still has a broad selection of loose teas as well.
