Miss Scarlett’s Tea Room at the Historic Burnett Mansion

The historic mansion is a landmark of Oklahoma. And the tea room pairs beautifully with it. The Southern plantation-style home was build in 1911 by Tennessee businessman Bates Burnett and it was intended to be the finest house of the state. The mansion has a ballroom complete with crystal chandelier! The last heir of the Burnett family died in 1984 and the mansion came in disrepair. In 2007 it was reopened for the public after massive restorations. In 2013 the Tea Room opened and guest can enjoy a little bit of Oklahoma history. You imagine yourself in the luxuries of the early 20th century as soon as you step in the tea room that is housed inside the mansion. It’s an ideal setting for a high tea or events.

Another historic gem of a tea room is the Victorian style Belvidere Mansion. The tea room is situated in the historic center of Claremore, just of the route 66. The imposant building, that was build for the Bayless Family in 1908, is open to the public and also houses a museum.
