The Best Tea Rooms of Pennsylvania

Where to drink a cup of decent tea when you’re in Pennsylvania? What are the best tea rooms of the keystone state? To drink a nice cup of Ceylon Tea perhaps? Pennsylvania is well known for the Philadelphia Tea Party. Just after the more famous Boston Tea Party they intercepted a British ship and sent it back to the United Kingdom in protest to the taxes on tea. Yes, tea was already a very popular beverage back then. Nowadays Pennsylvania is still full of historic landmarks and Victorian homes all over the state. So it’s really not hard to find a good spot for Afternoon Tea. Brewertea lists their favorites.

A Tea Affair
8 Sturgis Ln | Lititz, Pennsylvania

This tea room is located in the small town of Lititz, and harbors a charm suited for a high tea mindset. The owners opened up this location in 2010 and still going strong. They are famous for their garden tea menu, that’s been served in addition to a high tea or a luncheon tea. It’s the perfect balance between sweet and savory. If you like the teaware of the teas that you’ve been drinking, it’s all for sale in the adjoining tea shop. It’s a lovely spot for a group or small event as well. Enjoy!

A Taste of Britain

A lot of people think of Britain when thinking of tea? That there is such a rich association has a lot to do with the history of tea. But food is also a way to keep connected to a heritage as well. That is perhaps one of the reasons why this tea room is already 25 years in operation! A milestone worth celebrating. Taste of Britain is located in the Eagle Village Shops and has also a tea shop on site. The menu consists of soups, salads and lots of English favorites like a Beef Cottage Pie. And lots and lots of scone with clotted cream of course. Reservations are recommended.
